LINEAMIENTOS DEL PROYECTO

JITUR is a project designed to establish a public policy that integrates young university students into Cancún's tourism development. Its objective is to promote innovative, sustainable, and viable projects in collaboration with municipal authorities and the private sector.
It is proposed that students participate in the creation and design of projects similar to those previously carried out by the Municipal Tourism Secretariat, with the goal of benefiting the Cancun community.
Important dates
The project has a duration of 4 months.
Registration dates: August 1 - 14, 2025
Project start date: August 15, 2025.
Project closing date: December 1, 2025.
Award Ceremony: December 15, 2025.

The promotional focus seeks to have university students develop strategies that strengthen Cancún's image as a dynamic, inclusive, and constantly evolving destination, highlighting both its traditional attractions and new offerings that enhance its tourism offering.

Fomentar un turismo consciente que proteja el medio ambiente y respalde el equilibrio entre el crecimiento económico y la conservación de los recursos naturales. Bajo este eje, los jóvenes serán agentes de cambio que propondrán soluciones sostenibles, proyectos de turismo responsable y acciones concretas para preservar la riqueza ecológica de Cancún a largo plazo.
CULTURE
To rescue, strengthen, and disseminate the cultural identity of Cancún and the region through projects that integrate art, history, traditions, and contemporary expressions. This initiative invites university students to create initiatives that reconnect locals and visitors with the destination's cultural heritage, promoting tourism that values and celebrates cultural diversity.
